Jesse Jones started performing at a young age as a choirboy for the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale. His first professional experience was singing in the Pennsylvania Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” at the historic Academy of Music, a place that introduced him to the beauty of dance. When he got older, he trained at the High School for the Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) in Philadelphia where he was able to mentor, teach and choreograph dance routines for lower classmen as well serve as Dance Captain and Associate Choreographer for their Dance Company.  He was also granted the opportunity to choreograph and background dance for a Universal Records recording artist and travel the East Coast performing. Remaining in Philadelphia, Jesse attended the University of the Arts and earned a B.F.A. in Dance Education, graduating with Honors and receiving Best Dancer in All Styles and Outstanding Student Teacher awards.

During Jesse’s last year of college, he joined Eleone Dance Company where he was a soloist and also helped mentor the youth ensemble. He also performed in Verdi’s “AIDA” with the Philadelphia Opera Company choreographed by Matthew Neenan.  Once out of college, Jesse joined the Bermuda Dance Company as a member where he also taught dance.  After performing in Bermuda, he signed on to work as a dancer for several Cruise Lines where he received the chance to work with Film and TV Choreographer Danny Teeson, award-winning Choreographer Karen Bruce, and perform the works of Broadway’s Rachelle Rak.  In addition to working on Cruise Lines, Jesse received the opportunity to be in the original cast of two Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom shows, dance for Tokyo Disney, and perform with the National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica with world renowned Choreographer Christopher Huggins.

Now combining his dancing with his singing, Jesse has performed in a number of regional musicals including “Dreamgirls” choreographed by Broadway Choreographer Josh Rhodes. The original cast of “Jesus Christ Superstar (Gospel)”, and “Sister Act” directed & choreographed by Broadways "CATS" Dance Supervisor Richard Stafford.  A few additional acting opportunities stemmed from the relationships Jesse developed with various musical directors; and, he was invited to be part of some readings for new plays/musicals and revivals such as “Raisin.”   More recently, he played Sebastian in Disney's The Little Mermaid directed by Glenn Casale from the Tour and International productions.

Trained in ballet, modern, hip-hop, jazz, tap, musical theater, vocals and ballroom, Jesse is ready for just about anything you throw at him. Often referred to as the “New Ben Vereen” by Broadway veterans, Jesse is a true triple threat that can hold his own in a dance number, with just a microphone and a piano, or while reciting a side splitting monologue.
